Comrade Typeface
(Educational Project)

Apr - May 25

This monospaced script typeface is inspired by the visual language of Communist Romania in the 1980s. It is based on the cursive handwriting taught in schools and reflects propaganda that promoted unity but rather led to division. The word “comrade,” tied to social control, is represented through a broken script, symbolizing conflict. The monospaced structure mirrors the enforced uniformity of the time, which ignored the reality of everyday life.
